New Poona Bakery

This bakery is located over in the Wakad Block Side, specifically at Nagar Sheri 114/112. We've been here for a while now, and the shop has become a bit of a staple for the people living nearby. It’s not a very modern building, so we have to deal with things like leaky taps or flickering lights every now and then. We spend most of our time in the back where the big mixers are. The front of the shop is small and can get crowded quickly when the school nearby lets out. We don’t really do any big advertising. Most people just find us because they live on this street or walk past on their way to work. We keep a variety of biscuits and breads on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by noon, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a simple way of running a business, but it works for us. Our staff is mostly people from the neighborhood who have been with us for years. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It's just us, the ovens, and the customers who come through the door. We try to keep things consistent, even if the building is a bit old and grumpy. We aren't fancy, but we stay busy and the oven stays hot.
