Net Protector Foundation

Net Protector Foundation is based in Pune, over at Sudatta Sankul on Survey Number 8. We’re in the C building, Flat 104. It’s a pretty standard residential complex, and our office is right there on the ground floor area, which makes it easy to find. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighborhood knows us well enough by now. The area is typical for Pune, a bit of a mix of old and new, and it can get a bit loud with the traffic and the usual city sounds. We spend our days inside this flat, working on various educational and community projects. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We have our desks, our computers, and usually a lot of tea. We started this because we saw things in the community that could be better, and we figured we could help out. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s just about sitting down and getting through the list of things that need to be done to help someone get through school or learn a new skill. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, just like it does for everyone else in the building. We just deal with it and keep going. We like the fact that we’re in a regular apartment block because it keeps us connected to the people around us. It’s a simple life and a simple way of working, and that’s how we like it.
