If you look for the Kalpana Bungalow on the New DP Road in Vishal Nagar, Pimpri, that’s where you’ll find the Neelai Animal Care Foundation. We are right here in Pune, and the 411027 area is where we spend most of our time. Dealing with animals is a lot of work, and it’s never really quiet around the bungalow. There is always someone coming in or some noise happening. It’s not like a regular office where people sit in cubicles. We have to keep things clean, which takes up a lot of our morning. My hands are usually busy with something, so I don't spend much time on the computer. Pune City has a lot of animals that need a bit of looking after, and we just do what we can from this location. The New DP Road can get pretty crowded during rush hour, so getting supplies delivered can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The bungalow is a good size, but we always feel like we could use more room. We aren't some big government agency, just some people who care about the local animals in Pimpri and the surrounding parts of Pune. It’s tough work and doesn't pay much, but it’s what we do. We don't have fancy brochures or a PR team. We just have the work itself and the daily chores.
