National Handloom Corporation

If you head over to Indrayu Mall in Konark Puram, you’ll find us there. We are in the Kondhwa area. Being inside a mall like Indrayu is a bit different than a street shop. There’s air conditioning, which is nice when it gets really hot outside. National Handloom Corporation is where we spend our days surrounded by heaps of cloth and different fabrics. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding. Sometimes the shelves get a little disorganized when it’s a busy weekend and everyone is touching the materials. We don't mind much, it just means we have work to do. The mall gets quiet during the weekday mornings, which is when we do our inventory. We talk to the other shop owners nearby about how business is going. It’s a community. We have all kinds of handloom items piled up in the corners. The colors are bright, and the smell of fresh cotton is everywhere. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just sell cloth. It’s been our life for a long time. The address at Indrayu Mall makes it easy for people to park and come in. We stay until the mall lights dim down at night and it's time to go home. It’s a long day, but it’s honest work and we’re used to the routine by now. We just try to keep things moving and help people find what they want.
