Our shop is right there on the Pune-Satara Highway, near the Grampachayat in Khel Shivapur. It’s a busy spot with trucks and cars rushing past all day, so it gets a bit dusty on the shelves. We spend most of our time dealing with water stuff, whether it’s fixing a leak in a filter or helping someone figure out which pump they need for their house. The floor is usually covered with bits of PVC pipe and tools because there is always a project halfway done. People from the nearby villages stop by when their purifiers stop working or when they need a specific part that’s hard to find. It’s mostly just a few of us here, working through the pile of repairs that come in every morning. We don’t have a big showroom or anything, just a practical space where we can get the job done. Sometimes the electricity goes off and we have to wait a bit, or a customer comes in with a problem that takes way longer than we expected to solve. It’s steady work and we know the locals around Shivapur pretty well by now. We keep the spare parts organized in bins, but things still get messy when we are busy. The highway noise is just something we’ve gotten used to over the years while we handle the water issues for the people around here.
