Naik Water Proofing Centre

Our shop is the Naik Water Proofing Centre and we are right on Tilak Road in V V Puram. It’s a busy area, especially during the rainy season when everyone starts worrying about their roofs. We keep a lot of buckets and rolls of material around. It’s not the cleanest place because we are always moving heavy stuff in and out. The floor has some stains from different sealants we’ve used over the years. We spend a lot of our time out at work sites, so the shop is sometimes just one person sitting there waiting for the phone to ring. We don’t have a fancy showroom. We just have the supplies and some photos of jobs we’ve finished. People come in with all sorts of problems, like leaks in their basement or water coming through the ceiling. We just tell them what we can do and how long it will take. We don't use a lot of technical jargon. We just explain it simply so people know what to expect. Sometimes we are late because traffic on Tilak Road is a nightmare, but we always get there eventually. We’ve been doing this for a long time. My dad started this and now we just keep it going. It’s hard work, but it’s honest. We like being in V V Puram and helping out the neighbors. It feels good to stop a leak for someone who was really worried about it.
