Our main base is out in Sangawade, which is in the Karveer taluka of Kolhapur. It is a much different pace of life here compared to the big cities. We are surrounded by open fields and a lot of space. The office is not much more than a simple room with a sturdy table and some wooden benches for the guys. Most of the work we do is local, dealing with the specific needs of this part of Maharashtra. We know the soil around here and how the heavy monsoon season affects everything we try to build. Our crew is made up of people from the nearby villages. They are good people who are not afraid of a little dirt or spending long hours working under the sun. We do not have a marketing department or any of that. We just do the construction work that needs to be done. Whether it is a small storage building or something for the local farms, we just get on with it. Sometimes the weather does not cooperate and we have to sit around the office waiting for the rain to finally stop, but that is just how it goes in this business. We drink a lot of strong tea and talk about what needs to happen the next day. It is a very basic operation. We do not try to impress anyone with big talk. We just show up, do the labor, and move on to the next task.
