Mukta Tilak Memorial Foundation

The Mukta Tilak Memorial Foundation is based out of 568 Narayan Peth in Pune. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and it gets quite crowded, especially in the evenings. We’ve been at this address for a good while, and it suits us just fine. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit and handle the foundation’s business. We spend our days coordinating different activities and keeping track of our local projects. Narayan Peth has a lot of history, and we feel like we fit right in with the neighborhood vibe. It’s not a shiny new building, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. We have a couple of rooms where we store materials and a main area where we meet. Usually, there’s a lot of paper moving around because we still like keeping physical records of things. People from around Pune City stop by occasionally to see what we are up to. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just tell people where we are and what we’re doing if they ask. Working in Maharashtra, especially in a place like Pune, keeps us busy enough without needing to be flashy. It’s a straightforward operation here at 568 Narayan Peth, and we plan to stay here as long as we can. Every day brings something new but we stick to our routine.
