M/S Patil Construction

Our business is based in Ghodegaon, which is in the Newasa Taluka of Ahmednagar district. Specifically, we work out of the place belonging to Sidheswar Pandurng Late. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower here than they do in the big cities like Pune or Mumbai. We mostly handle local construction projects for farmers and people living in the nearby villages. We don't have a big, shiny office with air conditioning. Usually, we are out in the fields or at a site where we’re putting up a new wall or fixing a roof. The dust is everywhere, especially in the dry season, so we’re always a bit messy by the end of the day. Our crew is made up of local men who know the land and how to work with the materials we have here. We don't use any fancy technology to track our progress; it’s mostly just notes in a diary and a lot of talking on the phone. Sometimes we have to wait for the local festivals to end before we can get everyone back to work, but that’s just how life is in a village. We don't do any promotion or advertising. People just know where we are and they come to find us when they need something built. It’s a simple life and we take pride in doing honest work for our neighbors, building things that will last them for many years.
