Mr Surya Social Foundation

We are located right inside Surya Electronics at Kasturi Plaza. It’s near Tharmax Chowk in Chinchwad. It might seem a bit strange to have a social foundation inside an electronics shop, but it works for us. The Mr Surya Social Foundation started because the owner wanted to do more than just sell gadgets and appliances. When you walk in, you’ll see TVs and fridges, but if you go to the back, that’s where we handle the foundation work. It’s a busy place with customers coming in and out all day long. Sometimes we’re helping someone pick out a washing machine and then five minutes later we’re talking about a local community project or someone who needs help. It keeps us on our toes and ensures we never get bored. The plaza is always bustling, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. We don't have a separate, quiet office, so there’s always the sound of people talking or testing out speakers nearby. We use what we have to help the folks around Chinchwad. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive carpets. Every bit of space is used for something useful. Our team is just the people who work in the shop. We know the people in this neighborhood well because they’ve been coming to us for years. It’s a bit messy and loud, but it’s honest work we enjoy doing every day.
