Mr. Mutha

Mr. Mutha is based out of Chawl No. 128, at 1185 Gokhale Nagar in Pune. We are part of the Awati Sushama setup, care of Sadashiv Dattatray Gado. This isn't a typical office building. It’s a chawl, so the space is very limited and we are right in the middle of a residential community. You can hear kids playing outside and neighbors talking while we work. We have a small desk and a few chairs tucked into the corner of the room. Most of our work involves keeping records and handling local matters for the people around here. It’s a very humble place, and we don't have any of the modern gadgets you might see in a big city office. We use what we have and make it work. Living and working in Pune-16 means we are close to the people we help. The atmosphere is very informal. People often drop by just to say hello or ask a quick question. We don't have set hours that are strictly followed; we are usually around when someone needs us. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we have a small fan that we keep running. There are stacks of papers everywhere, but Mr. Mutha knows exactly where everything is located. It’s a simple way of living and working, without any pretense or corporate rules. We just do what needs to be done each day.
