Monginis The Cake Shop

We set up this Monginis shop over at Sst Chambers in Hinjawadi, right near Sri Sathya Sai Circle. It is in the 5th Block on 36th Cross, which gets a fair amount of foot traffic from the offices nearby. It's a small shop, mostly just counters and a few displays for the cakes and pastries. We spend a lot of time just keeping the glass clean and making sure the boxes are folded and ready to go. People come in mostly for birthdays or when someone at work is leaving, so it can get a bit hectic in the afternoons. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird humming noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. The staff is mostly local folks who know the area well. We don’t have a big seating area or anything like that. It’s more of a place where you just pop in, grab what you need, and head back to your desk or home. We try to keep a good variety on the shelves, though some days certain things sell out faster than we expect. It is a straightforward little spot. We don't do anything too complicated here. Just keeping the shop open and the cakes ready for whoever walks in. It’s a bit of a tight space when there are more than three customers, but we make it work. Most days are okay, and we just keep the lights on and the cakes fresh.
