Moneymore Chit Fund Private Limited is located out in Dorlewadi. Our spot is at G N 1363. This is part of the Baramati Taluka in the Pune district. Dorlewadi is a quiet place compared to the big city. You can see the fields not too far from where we sit. The air is a bit fresher here though it gets dusty when the tractors go by on the main road. We have a simple setup in the building. It’s mostly just a front room where we meet people and a back area for keeping the records safe. Baramati is the main hub for us so we go there if we need anything big. Most of the folks who stop by are from the village or the nearby farms. We know everyone by their first name usually. It’s the kind of place where you stop and talk for ten minutes before even mentioning why you came in. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it swept but the mud from the boots always finds a way in. We have a small fan that wobbles a little when it’s on high speed. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. Just a small office in the village where we handle the chit fund work. We stay busy with the paperwork and making sure everyone’s payments are logged in the big ledgers we keep on the shelf. The light flickers sometimes during the monsoon rains but we just get on with it.
