Plywood Junction

Our shop is on Survey No. 35/3, specifically Milkat No. 2748. We’re right opposite the H. V. Desai Eye Hospital in Pisoli. It’s a good landmark for us because everyone knows where the hospital is. At Plywood Junction, there’s almost always a lot of dust in the air from cutting the boards to size. We stock all kinds of wood and different laminates. It’s heavy work, moving those large sheets around all day long. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s basically just a big warehouse with some samples leaning against the walls. The delivery trucks come in and out from the main road, and we spend a lot of our time loading and unloading. Our hands are usually pretty rough from handling the material. We’ve got a small, cluttered desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s a solid business for us. We see a lot of local carpenters and contractors who are working on the new houses nearby. They know we have what they need without any big fuss. The traffic outside can get very loud, but you get used to the sound of the horns and the ambulances. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the orders right. If you need plywood, you come here, you pick it, and we help you load it.
