Perfect Binding Works

Our shop, Perfect Binding Works, is tucked away in Modi Khana Camp. We are really close to Pune College, so we see a lot of students and teachers passing by every day. The smell of glue and paper is pretty much always in the air here. We have these old machines that have been running for years. They are loud but they still work well for binding books and reports. It’s a lot of manual work, sitting at the bench and making sure the edges are straight. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We’ve handled thousands of thesis papers and old books that were falling apart. It’s nice to see something look neat again after we finish with it. The floor is usually covered in paper scraps by the end of the day. We sweep it up and start again the next morning. It is a small space, so things get a bit crowded when a big order comes in. We don’t mind the rush though. It’s good to stay busy. If you are near the college and need some binding done, you can probably hear our machines from the street. We’ve been here a long time and we plan to stay here for much longer.
