Modelcam Technologies Pvt. Ltd is based out here in the Katraj area of Pune. If you have ever spent any time in this part of the city, you know it gets pretty crowded with all the college students and the heavy traffic coming in from the highway. We have been operating our small business here for some time now. Our work is mostly focused on the technical side of things, involving computers and various engineering design tools. Even though it says private limited in the name, we don't really act like some big corporate office with fancy rules. It is mostly just us sitting in the office, trying to get projects finished on time. Katraj is a decent spot for us because it is a bit away from the main city center but still has everything we need nearby. We get a lot of local guys coming in to ask about work. Some days are very slow, and other days we find ourselves working late into the night to fix a problem. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist at the front; you just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting there. We handle a lot of data and different design tasks. It is very technical work, sometimes it can even be a bit dry, but we enjoy the challenge of figuring out how things fit together. The weather in Katraj is usually a bit better than the rest of Pune because of the hills, which is nice. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
