If you head over to Shukrawar Peth and look for number 1310, that’s where you’ll find us. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time. It’s a bit of an old area, full of history and narrow lanes that get pretty crowded during the day. Our shop, Model Arts, is where we spend most of our hours working on different projects. It’s a bit dusty inside because of the materials we use, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a big front window or anything like that. People usually just walk in when they have something they need made or designed. We have tools scattered around and half-finished pieces sitting on the benches. It’s a working space, not a showroom. My father used to say that the work speaks for itself, so we don't spend much time talking about it. We just get it done. The light in the afternoons is quite good for the finer details we have to handle. Sometimes the neighbors come by for a chat, which is nice. We know most of the people on this street by name. It’s a simple life here in the Peth. We don't use any fancy machinery, mostly just our hands and some older equipment that still works fine. It keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most days it's just about getting the orders right and making sure the shop stays open.
