Up here in Akol, near Chikodi in the Belgaum district, things are pretty straightforward. Mna Infra Construction Ltd is just what we call ourselves for the paperwork. Most days we are just out in the sun doing construction work. It is a rural area, so we know the land around here pretty well. We have been operating out of this spot for a bit now. Belgaum has its own rhythm, and we just follow it. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It is more about the gear, the trucks, and getting the jobs finished before the monsoon hits. Sometimes the roads are rough, and getting materials to Akol takes longer than we would like. We just deal with it. My team is mostly local guys who grew up around here. We speak the local language and understand how the ground works in this part of the country. Construction is messy. You get dirt under your fingernails and your boots are always ruined. We don’t mind it much. It is honest work. If you come by Chikodi, you might see our name on a board somewhere near a project. We are not trying to be the biggest company in the world, just trying to do what we signed up for. Life in a village like Akol means you cannot really hide if you do a bad job, so we just try to be decent about everything.
