Mirage Designs

You can find Mirage Designs over in Akurdi, specifically at Chira Bazar 306. It’s not a huge office, just a workspace where we get our design projects done. We aren’t the type of firm that has a big glass front or a name in neon lights. Most of the time, the place is full of sketches, some fabric samples, and empty coffee mugs. We’ve been in this building for a bit, and we like the vibe of the neighborhood. It’s practical. When we are working on a design, we don't really pay attention to the time, so sometimes we are here quite late. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. One day we might be talking to a supplier and the next we’re just staring at a computer screen trying to get a layout right. We don't have a big philosophy or a set of rules we follow. We just take each project as it comes and try to figure out what the person actually needs. It’s a lot of listening and drawing. Sometimes things don’t go perfectly, and we have to start over, but that’s just part of the job. It’s a normal, everyday business. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to make spaces look a bit better than they did before. Chira Bazar has its own rhythm, and we’ve fit right into it over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
