We are situated at B 21 in Chakan, near the headquarter area. Minda Valeo Security Systems Pvt Ltd is what the sign says, but to us, it’s just where we spend our ten hours a day. Chakan is a heavy industrial zone, so it’s all about trucks and factories around here. Our place is quite practical. It’s built for work, not for looks. The floors are concrete and the ceilings are high. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we have some fans going. There’s a lot of metal and security parts around. We try to keep the inventory straight, though sometimes things get moved around. We’ve got a small area for tea and lunch. Most of the staff have been here for years. We know the roads around Chakan like the back of our hands. It’s a tough area to drive in, but we’re used to it. We don't have any marketing people or slick brochures. We just handle the security systems side of things. It’s a lot of checking and double-checking. The office part is just a few desks near the front. We keep the gate closed mostly to keep the dust out. It’s a busy life but we like the routine of it. We just keep working away at B 21 and getting through the orders as they come in. It’s steady work and we appreciate having it.
