Mhada

Our other Mhada location is at Survey Number 164/2C in Vidyanagar. We are situated in Adarsh Colony on Road Number 12 in Pune. This office feels a bit different from the one in Karvenagar. It’s a bit more open, and we get a different crowd of people coming through the doors. The area around Vidyanagar has grown quite a bit recently, so there’s always some construction noise in the distance. We handle a lot of the same housing administrative work here. Our desks are usually covered in forms and maps of the local area. It can get a bit overwhelming when a lot of people show up at once, especially on Monday mornings. We have a few benches outside for people to wait on because our indoor space is quite limited. The sun hits the front windows in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside, so we usually keep the curtains drawn. We don’t have any fancy brochures or marketing people. If you come here, you just talk to whoever is behind the counter. We’ve been at this 411 032 address for a long time, and the neighborhood knows us well. It’s just a place where we do the work of the housing authority without making a fuss. We go home, come back the next day, and start the whole process over again. It’s not exciting, but it’s what we do and we are used to it.
