We are Marvel Realtors and we operate out of Rly Quarter No 581/06 on Railway Station Road. It’s right behind Sasoon Hospital in Pune. Being this close to the station means there is always noise. You can hear the trains blowing their horns and the constant rumble of the city. The office is in an old railway quarter, so it has that specific look to it—thick walls and high ceilings. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you don’t know the way behind the hospital. The room is filled with some old metal cabinets and a couple of heavy wooden desks. We usually have the radio on low in the background to drown out the traffic. It’s a very central spot, which is handy for getting around, but it’s definitely not a quiet place. We deal with a lot of foot traffic since the area is so crowded. There’s always someone coming in with a question or a letter. We keep it pretty basic here. No fancy lights or modern art. Just a few chairs for visitors and a lot of work to get through. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back on. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it’s our space and we’ve made it work for a long time now. We like the energy of being near the station.
