Mars Textures

If you find yourself on Sajjan Rao Road in Erandwane, you might walk right past us at 123/4/B if you aren't looking closely. We work with wall textures and finishes. Our walls are covered in all sorts of different patterns and colors because we use them to show people what’s actually possible. It’s a bit of a dusty job, dealing with all those powders and mixes in the back room. The Erandwane area is nice and central, but the lanes are narrow, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We’ve been here for a few years, and it’s mostly just us and the smell of wet plaster most days. Usually, someone is in the back mixing a batch for a sample board for a new client. We aren't interior designers with fancy portfolios, just folks who know how to apply a good texture to a wall. We get a lot of local homeowners coming in wanting to change the look of their living rooms or bedrooms. We usually have a chat, show them some of the boards we’ve made, and see what they like best for their house. The shop isn't particularly organized, with buckets and trowels scattered about, but we know our trade well. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can actually talk to the people who walk through the door without feeling rushed or like just another number.
