Marriage Consultance

The office for Marriage Consultance is right there in the Collector Compound. If you’ve ever been near the S.B.I. Bank around mid-day, you know how hectic it gets with people running around for their paperwork. Our place is tucked in among all those government buildings. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend a lot of our time sitting at these old wooden desks that have been here since we opened. The windows don’t always open easily, and the air gets a bit stuffy when there are more than three people waiting. We have these blue plastic chairs for visitors, and they aren’t the most comfortable, but they do the job. You can hear the bank security guard blowing his whistle all day long. We keep the files in these big steel cupboards that squeak every time you open them. It’s just how things are here. We don’t have a receptionist in a suit or anything fancy like that. Usually, one of us just looks up from a stack of forms and says hello. It’s a lot of writing and checking names. By the time five o’clock rolls around, we’re usually ready to lock up and head out into the traffic. It’s a busy spot to work in, but being near the bank and the main offices makes it easy for people to find us while they’re already doing their errands. The local tea vendor knows us by name and brings our drinks every morning without us even asking.
