About Manwithindies Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Pune
The Manwithindies Foundation is run by Milind Joshi at his place in Vishnushivshankar Colony. It’s a local neighborhood setup, not a big commercial office. We focus on "Indies," which are the local dogs you see on every street corner. Most of our work happens right out on the road, but we use the colony address as our home base for planning. It's a busy house with a lot of coming and going. Milind has been doing this for a while, and the neighbors are used to seeing us around. We don't have a fancy clinic or a fleet of vans. We just have a few people who care and a lot of passion for these dogs. We spend our days checking on sick ones, feeding the packs in the area, and trying to get them vaccinated. It’s messy work and we often end up covered in dirt or fur by the end of the day. There’s no corporate structure here, just a group of friends and volunteers who meet up at the colony to decide who goes where. We keep our supplies in a small room and do our best with what we have. It’s not a polished operation, but it’s real and it’s right here in the community. People know to call Milind if they see a dog in trouble. That's just how we work, day in and day out. It keeps us busy and the streets a bit better.
