Mano Brahma Foundation

We are set up on B.T. Kawade Road in Ghorpadi. Our place is in The Turf building, B Wing, right up on the ninth floor in flat 906. It is a nice view from up there, you can see quite a bit of the city. Ghorpadi is an interesting part of Pune with a lot of history. We have been operating from this flat for a bit now. It is not your typical office space. There are files everywhere and usually a few of us drinking tea while we discuss what needs to be done next. We do not really follow a strict schedule. If there is work to do, we stay until it is finished. Sometimes that means late nights. We wanted to have a base where people felt comfortable coming in. It is not meant to be intimidating. We deal with various foundation matters, mostly things that affect the local community here. The Turf is a well-known building, so most people do not have trouble finding us once they get to Kawade Road. We do not put out big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people hear about us. We have had neighbors from the other wings of the building drop by just to say hello or offer help. It is a friendly atmosphere. We try to keep our overhead low so we can focus on the actual work. It is just a few of us making things happen day by day.
