Our place is located at the 29 Milestone on the Pune Nashik Highway. It’s in Village Kuruli, which is part of the Khed Chakan taluka. The name on the sign is Mahle Behr India Pvt Ltd. If you’re driving down the highway, it’s hard to miss the industrial sprawl around here. We work on cooling systems and air conditioning parts for vehicles. It’s a lot of aluminum and plastic work. The factory floor is quite large, and there’s always a hum from the cooling fans and the assembly lines. It gets pretty busy during the peak season when orders are high. We have people coming in from all the nearby villages to work the shifts. It’s a simple setup really. We take the orders, make the radiators or whatever is needed, and get them shipped out. There isn't any fancy corporate lingo used on the floor. Most of the talk is just about the job at hand or maybe what happened in the cricket match the night before. Sometimes the power goes out and the generators have to kick in, which is just part of life in this area. We’ve been at this location for a good while, so we’ve seen the highway grow and get busier over the years. It’s just a normal factory life where we focus on getting the parts done right without making a big deal about it. You just punch in, do the work, and head home.
