Mahindra is spread across a large area at Gat No. 1258/1259 along the Sanaswadi Nagar Road. If you are driving down that way toward Shirur, you can’t really miss the place. It is a massive site with tall gates and a lot of security guards waving people through. Inside, it’s a whole different world of assembly lines and heavy metal. There are thousands of us working here in different shifts. You see people coming and going at all hours, wearing their uniforms and carrying lunch boxes. The sound of the factory is constant—clanking, humming, and the beep of forklifts moving pallets around. It is a very busy spot on the Nagar Road, so the traffic outside is always heavy with containers and company buses. We have a lot of sheds and paved areas where the finished vehicles sit before they get shipped out. It gets hot under those corrugated roofs in the summer, but we just keep moving. Most of the staff live in the nearby towns, so there is a real sense of being part of the local economy here in Shirur. It isn't a quiet office job; it's loud, greasy sometimes, and very physical. We just focus on hitting the numbers for the day and making sure everything is bolted down right. There is no time for sitting around when the line is moving, and we take our breaks whenever the bells ring.
