Mahindra Steel Furniture & Fabrication

Our workshop is located at 84 Topkhana, right behind the Mangala Theatre in Shivaji Nagar. It’s an old part of the city, and our building has that weathered look to it. We do a mix of things here, mostly making steel furniture and doing general fabrication work. You’ll usually hear the sound of welding or cutting if you walk by during the day. It’s a noisy and hot environment, especially in the summer months, but that’s the nature of working with steel. We have a few skilled guys who have been doing this for decades. They don't need fancy blueprints most of the time; they just know how to build things that last. We don't have a fancy front office with a receptionist. You usually just walk in and find one of us covered in shop dust. We make cupboards, racks, and frames for people in the area. It’s not about being the most modern shop; it’s about making things that don't break. People bring us their ideas, sometimes just sketched on a piece of scrap paper, and we try to make it work. We’ve been here in Topkhana for a long time, and we know most of the other shop owners around us. It’s a tight community where a handshake still means something. We finish up when the work is done and not a minute before.
