Mahavir Stationers & Book Sellers

We run Mahavir Stationers & Book Sellers over on Talawade Road. It is a straightforward shop where we keep all the basic things students and office workers might need. We have stacks of notebooks, pens, and various textbooks piled up on the shelves. The shop is not very large, so we have to use every bit of space from the floor to the ceiling. Talawade Road is a busy stretch, especially in the mornings when schools open and people head to work. We see a lot of the same faces every day. It is nice to know the people who live and work around here. We do not really do much advertising; people just know we are here when they run out of ink or need a new diary. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a bunch of kids come in all at once for school supplies. We just try to help everyone as quickly as we can. The books can get a bit dusty if they sit too long, so we spend time dusting and rearranging things. It is a simple business. We buy what people need and sell it at a fair price. There is no big corporate philosophy behind it. We just enjoy being part of the Talawade Road community and providing books to whoever needs them. It is a quiet life but we like being surrounded by paper and books and talking to the students who visit.
