Mahavir Electronics & Furniture Tilak Rd

You can find us in Indira Chambers on Tilak Road, right across the street from the Maharashtra Mandal. It’s a busy part of Sadashiv Peth, so there is always a lot of movement outside our door. The shop is on the ground floor, which is lucky because we have some pretty heavy furniture in here. We spend a lot of our time rearranging the items to make sure everything fits. It’s like a giant puzzle sometimes. The building is older, and the floor has a bit of a slope to it in one corner, but we’ve grown fond of the place. We start our day by opening up the big glass doors and letting some fresh air in, though you mostly get the smell of the street traffic. We don't have any corporate training or polished speeches for our customers. We just talk to them like we talk to our friends. If someone needs help carrying a heavy box to their vehicle, we just go out and help them. Parking on Tilak Road is always a nightmare, so we try to make things as easy as possible for anyone who stops by. We have a small corner where we keep our paperwork, mostly just notebooks and a few files. It’s not a very digital operation, but it works for us. By the time we finish up in the evening, the street is still buzzing, but we’re ready for a rest. It’s a good place to be.
