Maharashtra Industries is located at 941 Budhwar Peth. We are very close to the Shukrawar Peth area and right by the police chowki. Being near the police station is handy because it’s a landmark everyone knows when they are trying to find us in these narrow streets. Budhwar Peth is an old part of the city, and it is always packed with people and small shops. Our building is quite old too, and it has that specific smell of metal and grease because of the industrial work we do. We have been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, though the traffic always stays the same. The shop floor is where all the action happens. We have various machines for our work, and they make a lot of noise during the day. It’s not a place for a quiet conversation, that’s for sure. We don’t have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most people just stand in the doorway or come onto the floor to talk to us while we work. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We know most of the other shop owners around here, and we often help each other out if someone needs a tool or a bit of advice. It’s a tight-knit community in this part of town, and we are just a small part of it. We just keep our machines running and do the work.
