Mahananda Social Welfare Foundation

You can find us at Shanti Colony, specifically building B 411017 in Kalewadi, Pune. We are near the Alfanco School, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find the place. The Mahananda Social Welfare Foundation has its office at Survey No. 99/11/16. It’s a local neighborhood, so it feels more like a home than a business office. We have a small sign on the door so people don't get lost. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting around a table working on different projects. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just saw that things needed doing in this part of Pune and decided to set up here. The office gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have a fan that helps. It is a busy area with schools and houses all around. We hear kids playing outside most days. Our team is small, just a couple of people from the community who wanted to be involved. We handle our own chores, like getting the water and keeping the place tidy. There is no one else to do it for us. We just want to be a part of the local scene here in Vijaynagar. If you are walking by the school, you are pretty close to our door. It’s a plain place, but it’s where we do all our thinking and planning. Nothing more, nothing less.
