Down in Phursungi, near the Ganesh Temple in Harpale Ali, that is where you will find Maersk Global Services Pvt Ltd. Being in the Haveli taluka means we are close to the main city but still have that local feel of the Pune outskirts. The temple is a good landmark for people trying to find us the first time. It is a busy area with a lot of people moving around. Our office handles quite a bit of the paperwork and backend stuff that keeps global shipping moving along. Most of us live nearby or commute from the city side. We spend a lot of time on computers and talking to people in different time zones. It is a lot of coordination. The Phursungi area has changed a lot lately with more buildings coming up, but the local vibe is still there. We have our tea breaks at the small shops nearby. The work can be repetitive, looking at screens and tracking numbers, but it’s what we do. We don’t really do big speeches about what we do. We just come in, do the work, and head home.
