Maersk Global Service Centre

Maersk Global Service Centre has a branch right here in Nigdi, Pune. Nigdi is a good spot, a bit away from the main city chaos but still very much a part of the action. We spend our time here doing the service and support work that keeps a huge shipping network running. It is a lot of data entry, customer support, and technical coordination. We aren't the people on the ships, but we are the ones making sure those ships have everything they need from an administrative side. The atmosphere in our Nigdi office is pretty down-to-earth. We have a lot of local folks working here who just want to do a good day’s work. We don't use fancy titles or have a lot of corporate rules that don't make sense. It’s just about solving problems as they come up. The world of global trade is complicated, so we try to keep our part of it as simple as possible. We use everyday English to communicate and we don't try to hide behind big words. If there's a problem with a service, we just try to fix it. We’ve been part of the Nigdi landscape for some time now. Most of us just commute in, do our bit for the global chain, and then head home. It’s honest work and it keeps the wheels of commerce turning in its own quiet way.
