Down in Akurdi, specifically at 12, Kundan Park, is where you’ll find us. This part of Pune is pretty active. Maersk Global Service Centre India (Pvt.) Ltd. is the name on the door, but to us, it’s just where we spend our weekdays. We do a lot of back-end work here. It involves a lot of computers and data. Shipping is a big world and there are many small details that people don't see. We are the ones looking at those details. It can be tedious work sometimes, staring at screens for hours. But the team here is good. We grab tea together and talk about whatever is going on in the city. Pune has a lot of energy, especially with all the students and tech workers around. Our office isn't trying to be fancy. It's functional. We have our desks and our routines. Some of us have been here since the start, while others are newer faces. We deal with people from all over, which is interesting, even if it’s just through emails or calls. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing our part in the global shipping chain. It’s a steady job and we appreciate the people we work with every day in the Kundan Park area. It gets the job done and we go home.
