Out here at Pune Cantonment Board, on Amrutha Mai Math Road, is where you’ll find us. Specifically at Ff1. It’s a long name for a road, and most people just call it the Math road. M Veeramani stays busy here. The office is small, just enough room for a couple of chairs and a table. We have some plants by the window, but the sun hits them too hard, so they look a bit yellow. Being near the Cantonment means it’s fairly organized around here, though the traffic gets backed up on Friday afternoons. We’ve been in Ff1 for quite a stretch now. It’s a comfortable enough spot. There’s a certain smell of old paper and incense that lingers in the hallway. It’s not a corporate building, just a regular space where people come to sit and talk for a bit. Sometimes the birds get loud on the roof, which can be distracting during a quiet moment. We don’t really do much to the place, just keep it tidy enough for visitors. The floor tiles are a bit chipped near the entrance, but nobody seems to mind. It’s just a local spot. People know the address and they find their way eventually. We spend a lot of time just waiting for the next person or reading through old charts. It’s a slow pace of life on this road. We have no plans to change anything soon.
