Luke Lamps & Luminaries

Luke Lamps & Luminaries is located at 460, Pasodya Vithoda Mandir in Budhwar Peth. If you know the area, you know how tight the streets are. It’s always crowded with people and scooters squeezing past. Being near the mandir means we hear the bells and the prayers throughout the day, which is actually kind of nice when you’re busy with work. Our shop is full of all sorts of lights. There are boxes stacked up in the corners and lamps hanging from different spots. It’s not one of those showrooms with shiny floors. It’s more of a working space where things move in and out constantly. Budhwar Peth has that old city feel, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it works for what we need. We spend a lot of time checking bulbs and wiring up fixtures. Sometimes the power flickers, but that’s just life in this part of town. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you’re looking for us, just look for the mandir and you’re pretty much there. It gets really busy during the festive season, and the whole street feels alive. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. It’s a simple life here. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a local business doing its thing in a busy neighborhood.
