Loksewa Social Foundation

Loksewa Social Foundation is situated in Flat No 404, Building C4 of Bramha Avenue in Kondhwa. The address can be a bit of a mouthful with all the sector numbers, but most people just know it as the Bramha Avenue complex. We’ve been working from this flat for a good while now. It’s a decent-sized space for what we do. We have a kitchen area where we make coffee and a main living area that we’ve turned into our primary workspace. It still feels like a home in many ways, which we actually like. It makes the day feel a little less stiff than if we were in a big commercial building. Kondhwa is a busy part of town, so there is always something going on nearby. We spend our time working on various social projects and keeping up with the administrative side of things. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we feel like we are behind on everything, but we do our best to catch up. We don't have any polished speeches or corporate mission statements hanging on the walls. We just have our calendars and our to-do lists. People from the neighborhood sometimes drop by to chat or ask for advice. We like that part of the job. We are just local residents who decided to start this foundation and we are learning as we go. It’s a lot of work, but being here in Kondhwa makes it feel worth the effort.
