Liberty Hardware Stores is tucked into the B Wing over at Kamla Nagar, specifically at 966/1 Ganesh Peth. If you’ve ever walked down Chincholi Bunder Road, you know how hectic it gets around here. Our shop is pretty much like any other local hardware spot—it's crowded, smells a bit like oil and metal, and there’s never enough shelf space. We’ve got stuff hanging from the ceiling and tucked into every available corner. Sardar is usually around helping out with the heavier items. We don’t really have a system that looks organized to an outsider, but we generally know where the bolts and hinges are hidden. The neighborhood is loud, with motorcycles constantly zooming past the entrance, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the regulars who live in the nearby apartments. Most people come in for something small, like a screwdriver or a specific type of faucet washer, and we end up talking about the weather or the local traffic. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We don't have any high-tech computers or fancy displays. It’s just us, the inventory, and a lot of manual record-keeping in our ledgers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it’s how we’ve always done things here in Ganesh Peth, and it seems to work out okay for everyone involved.
