Lavasa Corporation, Ltd, Pune

Our office is in the Viola Building over in Warje, Pune. This is where M. Boopathi Gupta and the rest of the team handle the project environment side of things for Lavasa Corporation Ltd. It’s a busy place, mostly because there is always a new report to look at or a map to study. The building is okay, nothing too fancy, just a regular office block in a crowded part of the city. We spend most of our time at our desks, but sometimes we have to head out to check on things. It’s not a glamorous job. There are lots of binders and digital files that we have to keep organized. We don't have a big marketing department writing things for us, so this is just how it is. We talk about the projects, have our tea, and try to make sure we don't miss any deadlines. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed most of the time, though it gets tense when a big deadline is coming up. We aren't looking to impress anyone with big words. We just do the technical and environmental work that’s required. It’s a lot of double-checking data and making sure the plans are followed. That’s really all there is to it. We show up in the morning, do the work in the Viola Building, and go home. It’s a straightforward life here in Pune and we just keep it simple.
