Lakade Computeries Advertisement

We started out in Mohamadwadi because it was close to home and we saw a need for local advertising help. The shop isn't very large, just enough room for our computers and a big table for checking prints. We do a lot of the digital work that goes into posters and banners. It’s funny how much time you can spend just trying to get a shade of blue to look right on paper. My desk is usually covered in sticky notes with phone numbers and sizes for different jobs. We aren't a big agency with a fancy lobby. People usually just drop in, tell us what they need for their shop or their event, and we get to work. Sometimes the machines act up, and we spend the afternoon frustrated, but that’s just part of the job. We know the other business owners around Mohamadwadi, so it feels like a community. We try to be quick, but good work takes at least a little bit of time. It’s mostly just us clicking away and checking the proofs. We don't have a big philosophy about it. We just make sure the words are spelled right and the pictures aren't blurry before we send it to the client. We’ve been here long enough that we know which local spots need what kind of signs. Some days are just filled with small flyers, and other days we’re working on something much bigger that takes up the whole screen. It’s a balance.
