Kunte Architect

Kunte Architect is tucked away in Aundh at Khan Bazar 163/1. It’s a busy part of town and the office reflects that energy. We have a lot of stuff crammed into a small space. There are rolls of blueprints standing in the corners and the desks are usually covered in scales and pencils. The building itself is old, so the stairs are a bit narrow and steep. We’ve been at this location for quite some time now. You can hear the sounds of the bazar all day long, which keeps us from feeling too isolated from the world. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants that are struggling a bit, but they survive. Most days involve a lot of sitting and staring at layouts until they make sense. We aren't big on fancy technology, though we have what we need to get by. It’s more about the hand-drawn sketches and the physical models for us. The tea guy knows our order by heart and comes by twice a day without fail. Khan Bazar has a lot of history and we feel like we’re part of the fabric of the neighborhood now. Our office doesn't look like a showroom. It looks like a place where people actually work and get their hands dirty with lead and ink. We just keep our heads down and focus on one project at a time until it's finished. It’s a messy place, but we know where everything is.
