Our office is located on Sinhgad Road, specifically at Dhayari Phata. We are up on the sixth floor of the Madhumalati Building, in flats 604 and 605. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens once in a blue moon. Being on the sixth floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding area, which is mostly just rooftops and more buildings. The traffic on Sinhgad Road is something else, especially during the morning rush, so most of us try to get in before the worst of it hits. The space itself is two flats joined together, so it has a bit of an odd layout with several smaller rooms instead of one big open floor. It’s cozy in its own way. We have our files organized in the back rooms and the main work happens in the front area where the light is better. There’s no big sign outside, just a small nameplate. We spend our days mostly on the phone or working through spreadsheets. It’s a busy environment but not in a high-pressure corporate way. It’s more about just getting the list of things done. Around lunch, the smell of cooking from the other flats in the building drifts in, which always makes us hungry. It’s a very local way to work, right in the heart of a residential hub.
