You can find us out near Magadh University in the village of Shahdeokhap. It’s in the Bodh Gaya area of the Gaya district in Bihar. Our office is basically part of the family home where Shahbaz Ahmad Khan and the rest of us manage the construction work. Being out here near the university means there is always a bit of traffic on the main road, mostly students and local buses. It’s a dusty place, especially in the summer months when the heat in Bihar gets really intense. We don't have fancy air conditioning or a polished office setup. It’s just a room with some wooden tables and chairs where we meet with workers and plan out the next steps for our building projects. We do a lot of work in the surrounding villages and the town area. Construction out here is different than in the big cities; you have to manage your materials carefully and work around the local weather. We spend a lot of time talking to people from the village who are looking to build something new. It’s a small, family-run business and we’ve been here for quite some time. The days are long and we usually start early before it gets too hot to move around. We don't use any big marketing tricks, we just let the work speak for itself in the community. It’s a quiet life in many ways, but the construction and builder business keeps us moving from morning till night.
