Our setup is a bit different because we operate out of a residential space at Universal Residency in Warje. You can find us in B Wing, flat D-24, where Hemant Nanote manages the day-to-day things. It is basically a home office, which makes things feel a lot more personal and less like a cold business environment. We do all our planning right there at the dining table or at a small desk squeezed into the corner of the room. Being in Pune 52 means we are close to a lot of the newer development areas, so we are often running back and forth between the apartment and different construction sites. We don't have a big staff or a fancy showroom to show off. Most of our work comes from people who have seen what we’ve built before and just give us a call. We spend a lot of time on the phone haggling with contractors or trying to find better prices for steel and cement. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes things get a bit chaotic with all the paperwork piled up, but we manage to stay on top of it. We like the fact that we can just walk down the hall and be at work. It is practical and keeps our costs down, which is important for a small building business like ours.
