Kshipra Design

Kshipra Design is located in the Laxmi Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a mix, being tied to both Kothrud and the Link Road area in Versova 19. Working out of an industrial estate means it’s not always the quietest place, but it’s where things get made. We have a lot of tools and materials lying around. It’s a workspace, not a showroom. We spend a lot of time sketching things out or measuring stuff. Some days we are in Kothrud, other days we are dealing with things over in Versova. It keeps us on our toes. The industrial estate has a lot of other businesses too, so there’s always something going on. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with our sleeves rolled up. We started Kshipra Design because we liked making things. It wasn't about a big business plan. We just liked the work. The office is full of samples and old drawings from years ago. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for us. We don’t do much in the way of marketing. Usually, it’s just people who know us from the neighborhood or other businesses in the estate. We just take one project at a time and try to get it right. It's a practical way to live. We’ve been at it for years and we don't plan on changing how we do things anytime soon.
