Krishnamai Gramin Foundation

Our foundation, Krishnamai Gramin, is based out of Chikmahud in Sangole. We operate from Gno 646/1, which is actually part of the Bhosale Dhondiram property. Being in a rural part of Solapur, we see things differently than people in big cities do. We aren't a big setup. It’s mostly just us working with what we have. The roads here can be rough, and sometimes the weather doesn't help our plans. We focus on the village life because that’s where we live too. We didn't want to go to a city to start something. We wanted to stay right here in Chikmahud. People know us by name around here. We help with farm stuff and basic village needs. It’s not very glamorous work. Most days involve a lot of walking and talking to folks under the trees. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny office. We just have a desk and some chairs at the house. It works for us. We think it’s better to be close to the people we are actually trying to assist. Solapur is a big place, but our corner of it is what we care about most. If you come by, you’ll probably find us drinking tea and planning the next week. It’s just how we do things. No fuss, just work. Some days we get more done than others, but that’s just life in the village. We’re just trying to be useful to our neighbors and keep things moving forward.
