If you find yourself in Kothrud, you might have seen our sign. Sgadgul Hardware Ltd. is right at C14 Uday Park C, just across from Rahul Nagar. It’s a tight space with stuff piled up to the ceiling in every corner. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most mornings I spend time moving buckets and tools out to the front so people can see what we have in stock today. The door handle sticks a little if you don't pull it the right way. It’s a neighborhood shop where people come when a pipe leaks or they need a specific size of screw they can't find anywhere else. We don’t have a website or any of those modern things people use now. My cousin helps me behind the counter when it gets crowded on Saturday mornings. We have a cat that hangs around the back too. Sometimes the labels on the boxes get a bit faded from the sun coming through the window. It’s just how it is. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we usually know who does. It is just a regular hardware store trying to keep up with the local demand. There is nothing special about it, just a lot of hard work and making sure the inventory is mostly right for our regulars. It keeps us on our feet all day.
