Kohinoor Tools & Fasteners

If you find yourself over by the Joysri Theater in Chinchwad, you’ve probably passed us right across the street. We’re in the Krushnakewal Township area. Kohinoor Tools & Fasteners has been sitting here for quite a while now. We sell a lot of bolts, screws, and all the different kinds of tools you might need for building things or fixing a leaky pipe. It’s a small shop but we pack a lot into it. You have to watch your step sometimes because we have crates of fasteners sitting on the floor waiting to be put away. People come in looking for one specific tiny screw that they lost, and we usually spend ten minutes digging through bins to find it for them. It’s those kinds of days that keep us busy. The theater across the way brings in some foot traffic, but mostly it's regular customers who know we have the hardware they need. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. The shelves are high and the aisles are narrow. It smells like metal and old cardboard in here. We don't do much advertising; people just know we're here and they come in when they're stuck on a project. It’s honest work and we like being part of the neighborhood. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. It makes the day go by faster when you're chatting with folks while counting out nuts and bolts.
